BACKGROUND:
As a trade, scaffolding has changed beyond all recognition in recent
years. Back in 1979, when I first put " a set of spanners on",
things were very very different.
Today, training (both on and off site),
is a major factor and influences everything we do. We are proud that all
our operatives are either fully trained or undergoing training. Not only
do we employ fully qualified scaffolders and labourers, but also fully
certificated Power Access Platform operators (Scissor Lifts & Cherry
Pickers) and Fork Lift Truck drivers.
We are a medium sized company, but we
have successfully carried out a number of large, high profile contracts in
recent years. These include the reconstruction of Hunstanton Pier after a
major fire (pictured left) and the newly built Juniper House, which is
part of the King's Lynn Borough Council Offices,
to name but two.
In addition to traditional scaffolding,
we can erect all manner of support and lifting scaffolds. We also have a well-established relationship with a
company of Design
Engineers who we can call upon for expert advice in respect of
the design aspects of our work. |
| COMPANY
HISTORY: I came into the scaffolding industry in 1979 and after
gaining 13 years "on-the-job" experience, I formed West Norfolk
Scaffolding in 1991 and in 2002 we incorporated to a limited
company.
CUSTOMERS: We operate within a 50
mile radius of King's Lynn, Norfolk and we have some of the country's
largest building contractors as our customers. However, a large part of
our business is serving the smaller builder and the private customer. Our
view is that no job is too small. All quotations and site visits are
free of charge.
